Admission to the Polytechnic College for the three-year Full Time Diploma course is done strictly on the basis of marks scored in the SSLC examination and as per the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu for OC, BC, MBC, SC & ST candidates.

Admission to the Polytechnic College for the three-year Full Time Diploma course is done strictly on the basis of marks scored in the SSLC examination and as per the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu for OC, BC, MBC, SC & ST candidates. In addition, seats are reserved for the following categories of students. They are selected and allotted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai. Separate applications must be sent to the Directorate for this purpose.
1. Sons / daughters of ex-servicemen
2. Physically handicapped candidates
3. Sports persons

ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR DIPLOMA COURSES
Qualifying Examination
A pass in HSC Vocational or ITI courses mentioned in the Annexure offered in the Higher Secondary Schools in Tamil Nadu affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board with eligibility for University Courses of Study or equivalent examination.
