Harnessing electrical energy is the challenge for electrical engineers. The power packed EEE department inspires the budding Electrical Engineers with the potent idea of constructing Generating Stations, Transmission Lines and Distribution Systems at economic rates and to design, test and supervise the manufacture of Electrical and Electronic equipments used in electrical utilities, buildings, automobiles, air-crafts, radar, navigation system and broadcast and communication systems.

To develop the Department into a “Centre of Excellence” with a perspective to provide quality education and skill-based training with state-of-the-art technologies to the students, thereby enabling them to become achievers and contributors to the industry, society and nation together with a sense of commitment to the profession.

MISSION

  • To impart quality education in tune with emerging technological developments in thefield of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • To provide practical hands-on-training with a view to understand the theoretical concepts and latest technological developments.

  • Understand the construction, working principles and operations of DC machines,
  • Transformers and special machines like Induction motors and Synchronous machines.
  • Distinguish the various categories of electrical machines.
  • Predict the performance of electrical machines from their equivalent circuit models.
  • Validate the theoretical concepts by conducting experiments in practical sessions.
  • Study the different testing techniques available to assess the performance of machine.
  • Understand the various types of control circuit elements like industrial switches, relays, timers, solenoids and contactors.
  • Study the types of automatic starters in electrical motors and control circuits.
  • Study the PLCs programs for controlling the motor and control applications.
    Exploring of knowledge about identification of materials, dismantling of material and servicing of electrical appliances.
  • Assemble the various part of domestic appliances and the electrical connection.

ELECTRONICS LAB

  • Learn the characteristics and application of basic electronic devices.
  • Understand the characteristics of transistors, Diode, TRIAC and DIAC.
  • Design and analyze various rectifier
  • Understand the various gates and its applications.
  • Obtain the design capability of digital circuits.
  • Explore the use of digital logic in integrated circuit applications.
  • Gain knowledge in the applications of op-amp.
  • Validate the theoretical concepts by performing experiences in practical session.
  • Study the different interfacing techniques available for 8051.
  • Gaining knowledge for Writing programs for performing real world a task.
  • Formulate procedures for testing the operation of power converters.
  • Evaluate the performance of power converter circuits.
  • Acquire knowledge on characteristics of switching devices.

COMPUTER LAB

  • Understand Internet concepts and use of GUI operating systems.
  • Expose e-learning tools and chatting tools
  • Familiarize and customize the desktop.
  • Acquire practical knowledge by drawing 2D diagrams using Auto CAD.
  • Distinguish the various sysmbols widely used in Electrical and Electronics circuits/
  • Study the signle line diagram and winding diagram.
  • Familiarize with various aspects of simulation software.
  • Designing of various electric circuits and wave shaping circuits using simulation software.

WIRING AND WINDING LAB

  • Familiarize with wiring execution to control the domestic appliances.
  • Study the execution of wiring to control lamps, alarm circuits and single phase motors.
  • Study the wiring of MCB, 3phase induction motor with main switch, ELCB.
  • Acquire practical knowledge in end connections for 3 phase induction motor winding.
  • Understand and prepare winding for potential transformer and acquire practical knowledge of design.
